1. Information We Collect

Account & Profile Data

When you register or use NivaraX, we collect:

• Name, email address, phone number
• Business/company name, address, city, state
• GSTIN (optional, for invoice purposes)
• Profile photograph

Tenant KYC Documents

Property owners may upload tenant documents including:

• Aadhaar card (scanned copy)
• PAN card (scanned copy)
• Tenant photograph
• Rental agreements

These documents are stored securely and are accessible only to the property owner and the tenant themselves.

Payment Data

We collect transaction records including payment amounts, dates, and modes (UPI, cash, online). We do not store full card numbers, CVVs, or net banking credentials. Payment processing is handled by Cashfree Payments — please refer to Cashfree's Privacy Policy.

Usage Data

We automatically collect device information, IP address, browser type, and usage logs to improve the platform and diagnose issues.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Provide and operate the NivaraX platform and mobile app
• Process rent payments and generate receipts/invoices
• Send notifications, alerts, and service communications
• Verify identity and comply with legal obligations
• Improve features, fix bugs, and analyze usage patterns
• Respond to support requests

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We may share data with:

• Cashfree Payments — for processing online payments
• Hosting providers — for server infrastructure (data remains in India)
• Legal authorities — only when required by law or court order

Within the platform, property owners can view their own tenant data. Tenants can view only their own records.

4. Data Retention

We retain account data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. If you delete your account, personal data is removed within 30 days, except where legal retention is required (e.g., financial records for 7 years under Indian law).

5. Data Security

• All data is transmitted over HTTPS (TLS encryption)
• Passwords are hashed using bcrypt — never stored in plain text
• Access to sensitive data is role-based (owner vs. tenant vs. admin)
• Regular automated backups with off-site storage
• KYC documents are stored in a non-public directory

6. Cookies

We use session cookies for authentication and preference storage. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though this may affect platform functionality.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Withdraw consent for optional communications

8. Children's Privacy

NivaraX is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.

9. Changes to This Policy
